Cwm Clydach (Brecs)

A couple of pics from a site visit to Brynmawr Sections SSSI last week:
Hygrohypnum luridum on concrete retainer
Scapania compacta on thin soil over sandstone

    Minor point - Cwm Clydach is in VC42. Nice pic of the Scapania.

    It's not helped by Clydach being in Gwent and modern day Monmouthshire. Like Trefil it's in vc 42 though.

    Thanks for continuing to post the photos Barry - they are really useful for me in terms of helping to know what to look out for, particularly for species I've never recorded like S. compacta.
